Metges

The word Metges is an old Gascogny word meaning medicins or doctors, healers.
The story goes that this place was built by 2 women who were healers in around 1780, comprising a traditional Gascogne square house, with 2 gites. the old Pigeonier or pigeon house, and the other the old Fournil or bakers oven.
Both gites have there own independent entrances and there is a barbecue and pétanque area for everyone to use.

In the gardens there are fruit trees you may help yourself to their produce when available. There is a small woodland boasting a beautiful bambouserie, bamboo forest and water source. An ideal spot for quiet reflection. The story also goes that there are also the ruins of a druid house in the woods!
The whole place certainly has a magical feel.

I live on site and can be available to you if needed, but will otherwise leave you in peace. I also have 2 free roaming inquisitive dogs and an independent inquisitive cat, so please bear this in mind when booking!
